World Health Week begins March 12

Several conferences are being held at Vanderbilt in recognition of World Health Week 2001, March 12 to 16. All lectures are free and open to the public.

•March 12 – “International Health Development: Plans, Problems and Possibilities,” Dr. Ralph Henderson, assistant director-general, World Health Organization, noon, 208 Light Hall.

•March 13 – “Practicing Medicine Abroad: Experiences from Three Vanderbilt Physicians,” Dr. John Tarpley, Dr. Christopher Greeley, and Dr. Timothy Peters, noon, 208 Light Hall.

•March 14 – International Food Fiesta and Poster Display, Medical Students’ Lounge, Light Hall third floor.

•March 15 – “Taking your Career Internationally Without Leaving Nashville,” Dr. David Gregory, noon, 208 Light Hall.

•March 16 – “Cambodian Refugee Women Seeking Health,” Dr. Barbara Frye-Anderson, noon, 208 Light Hall.
