The Nashville Predators host two Hockey Fights Cancer games each season to raise support for the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund Presented by Twice Daily.

Vanderbilt mourns loss of philanthropist, longtime supporter Peggy Warner

Mrs. Warner and the Warner family have provided philanthropic support across a range of areas at the Medical Center, from the Shade Tree Clinic, Vanderbilt’s medical student-run, free clinic, to the Department of Neurology, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, among others.

Chic Awearness surpasses $1 million for ovarian cancer research and patient support 

Founded by Marci Houff, the event supports ovarian cancer research at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and patient support initiatives.

A significant portion of the proceeds are benefiting the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Arts program. The event served as an opportunity for attendees to meet the artist and learn more about the VUMC Arts mission.

Joint effort: Annual VUMC event provides free orthopaedic surgeries

This year, more than 60 participating surgeons, fellow and resident surgeons, attending anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists, surgery center staff and Spanish interpreters volunteered on an August Saturday to help those who couldn’t otherwise afford it.
