Dolly Parton is donating $1 million to pediatric infectious disease research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center to help in the fight against serious infectious diseases such as coronavirus that have worldwide ramifications.

DBMI summer program for MNPS high school students resumes

High school students in Metro Nashville Public Schools who are interested in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and computer science can once again get paid internship experience through a summer program within the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Vanderbilt, thanks to initial funding from DBMI faculty member Daniel Fabbri.

Iroquois Steeplechase set for May 14, ambassador named

The Iroquois Steeplechase, one of America’s premier horse racing events, is getting ready for the annual ride set for Saturday, May 14. A time-honored tradition and long considered Nashville’s rite of spring, the Iroquois Steeplechase will once again benefit Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Clip In 4 the Cure

More than 300 riders participated in the inaugural Clip In 4 the Cure, a relay-style, team cycling event that supported cancer initiatives at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
