Children’s Hospital lands awards for health communications

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt took home top honors in multiple categories in the 2018 eHealthcare Leadership Awards, which recognizes the nation’s best in health care digital communications.

 

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt took home top honors in multiple categories in the 2018 eHealthcare Leadership Awards, which recognizes the nation’s best in health care digital communications.

The awards were presented at the annual Healthcare Internet Conference, one of the leading gatherings of professionals working in digital health care communications across the country.

Children’s Hospital took home platinum awards in the following categories:

  • Best Overall Internet Site
  • Best Internet Homepage
  • Best Doctor Directory
  • Best Mobile Website
  • Best Social Networking

The Children’s Hospital website underwent a significant redesign last year that emphasizes the mobile-first experience and focuses on the most pressing needs of patients and families. In 2018, its social media program reached more than 80 million users on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other channels.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center received two additional awards:
