In light of the need to prioritize our unified response to COVID-19, StrategyShare2020, originally scheduled for June 24, is being postponed until further notice.
We greatly appreciate the many hours of effort that have already gone into preparing the program for this annual showcase of initiatives that advance the four VUMC Strategic Directions.
While StrategyShare2020 is delayed, great innovation that supports the Strategic Directions work continues to thrive throughout our community, and we ask that you engage in these efforts as bandwidth permits. Of particular note is the new online lecture series, Virtual Discover, Learn & Share (vDLS), being launched by the VUMC Office of Research.
vDLS will feature leading scientists from the biomedical science community as they share high-impact research on the most pressing questions in biomedical science today.
James Crowe Jr., MD, of the Vanderbilt Vaccine Center, and Mark Denison, MD, of Vanderbilt Pediatric Infectious Diseases, will co-host the first vDLS on Thursday, April 2, at 4 p.m. Crowe will present his work on the Rapid Discovery of Human Antibodies for Epidemics and Denison will present on COVID-19 Antiviral Strategies and Progress.
