The VUMC Farmers’ Market, which usually opens in early June on the Medical Center plaza, will delay its opening due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We tentatively plan to open in July,” said Emily Cox, health educator at Health Plus, which sponsors the market.

Cox noted that changes brought about by the need for social distancing might change the character of the market.

“If we end up not being able to hold the market in the traditional way at all, we are working with the Nashville Farmers’ Market on alternative options,” she said.

Updates will be posted to the VUMC Farmers’ Market web site.
