VUMC building access changes to take effect March 21

With the updated COVID-19 Safety Guidelines and the stopping of workforce covid screening the following changes will be made to VUMC building entrances on campus and One Hundred Oaks effective March 21, 2022.

  1. All current doors where workforce members can enter buildings will stay in effect, no new doors will be opened for security purposes.
  2. These entrances will have changes to their schedules allowing for VUMC ID Badge Access when screeners are not present for patients and visitors (overnight hours):

3. Entrances with no changes: Medical Center North Round Wing, Light Hall, Medical Center East 2nd floor, VUH Lobby, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Second floor patient and employee, Children’s Hospital cafeteria, Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, Vanderbilt Clinic 2nd floor Plaza, One Hundred Oaks Entrances A, D, G, E, Medical Arts Building

4. Workforce members must visibly wear VUMC ID badge at all times.

5. As a reminder masking is still required in all clinical areas, defined as anywhere a patient or visitor could be located. Screening at many entrances will continue for patients and visitors for masking and visitation monitoring.
