Office of Graduate Medical Education Annual Research Forum set for April 5

The 40th Annual Research Forum, hosted annually by the Office of Graduate Medical Education, is set for Tuesday, April 5. The event is open to all with no registration required, and will be held from noon-1 p.m. in 214 Light Hall.

Erica Emmons, MD (Diagnostic Radiology)

The Annual Research Forum is open to all Vanderbilt University School of Medicine students, house staff, nursing students, pharmacy and to the Center for Programs in Allied Health students.  Research must have been performed at Vanderbilt University or Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  Unpublished work is eligible and encouraged, as well as work already published or presented at another meeting.  Abstracts are reviewed and scored by a panel of Faculty who are actively involved in clinical and basic science research.  The overall top 6 abstracts selected by the Faculty Judges as Finalists and they will be invited to give a quick shot presentation at the Research Forum.  The overall top abstract selected will be awarded the Elliot V. Newman Prize.

The forum moderator will be Gautam (Jay) Bhave, M.D., Ph.D., a past winner of the 2020 Grant W. Liddle Research Appreciation Award.

The winner of the 2022 Grant W. Liddle Research Appreciation Award will be announced during the forum.
