Biltibo receives career development award to support hematology research

Vanderbilt’s Eden Biltibo, MD, a clinical fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, has been selected for the 2022 ASH-CIBMTR-ASTCT Career Development Award.

Eden Biltibo, MD, a clinical fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, has been selected for the 2022 ASH-CIBMTR-ASTCT Career Development Award.

She will receive $100,000 to guarantee protected time for clinical or laboratory-based hematology projects and for developing additional research skills. The award was announced by the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and the American Society of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT).

The award is part of the ASH Minority Hematology Fellow Award program, which supports early-career researchers from minority groups historically underrepresented in medicine.

The ASH-CIMBTR-ASTCT is exclusively for fellows pursuing careers in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
