Second Harvest Food Drive underway through Dec. 16

Nearly one in three Tennessee families experienced food insecurity in 2021. Here is an opportunity for you and your team to help.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is hosting a hospital-wide food drive in conjunction with the American Heart Association and Second Harvest Food Bank, from Dec. 5-16.  Donation suggestions include:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Soup, Stew Chili
  • Brown Rice and Whole Gran Pasta
  • Canned low sugar fruit
  • Canned low sodium veggies
  • Cereal and Oatmeal
  • Canned Chicken or Tuna

Please drop your donated items off in the Second Harvest boxes, located around the hospital. Locations include the second floor staff screening station, DOT staff break rooms, the elevator bays on the hospital’s second floor and the Monroe Carell Food Court.

Questions can be directed to Carrie Deese at 615-322-1312.
