Over the last several weeks, the MyWorkday project team was dedicated to ensuring a stable transition from the dozens of legacy systems used by VUMC for HR, Supply Chain, Finance, and Research and Grants to only two new systems, Workday and Tecsys.
A Command Center opened in mid-March to help manage this effort. Staffed by functional and technical experts from each one of the project workstreams, leaders and experts are on hand to help manage the process and address any issues. Also in the Command Center are IT, project management, change management, training, and communications experts.
This effort culminated in a successful Go Live for the project. By Saturday morning, Workday and Tecsys were operational. Employees can also access earlier issues.
