The Mt. Juliet Fire Department joined forces with Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s EMS Center of Excellence, naming Jared McKinney, MD, associate professor of Emergency Medicine, as medical director.
“We are thrilled to partner with Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s EMS Center of Excellence,” said Eric Newman, EMS chief of the Mt. Juliet Fire Department. “This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to provide exceptional emergency medical services to our community.”
The two organizations will partner on training programs, research projects, advanced medical protocols, community outreach programs, educational events and enhanced training for emergency responders.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work closely with the Mt. Juliet Fire Department,” McKinney said. “This partnership allows us to leverage our expertise in emergency medical services to positively impact the health and safety of the Mt. Juliet community. Together, we can create a model for excellence in pre-hospital care.”
