Videos and slides from 2024 REDCap Fest, held online Feb. 21 – 23, are available for viewing by members of the Vanderbilt and Meharry Medical College research community.
REDCap, or Research Electronic Data Capture, is a web-based software application launched at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2004 by Paul Harris, PhD, professor of Biomedical Informatics and Vice President for Research Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
It’s maintained for users around the world by Harris’ team at the Office of Research Informatics at the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, where Rob Taylor serves as manager of application development. At last count REDCap had 3.1 million users working at 7,069 institutions in 156 countries.
Along with a review of new and upcoming features, this year’s REDCap Fest included sessions on automating workflow, delivering and tracking training for clinical trials, REDCap-Epic interoperability, REDCap surveys, the REDCap mobile app, electronic patient consent, data integrity and compliance, MyCap, and more.
A weblink to the videos and slides is available through the REDCap tb on VICTR’s research resources portal, Starbrite.
