VUMC Emergency Operations, with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, is conducting a Live Functional Mass Casualty Incident Exercise. Organizers of the event are looking for adult and youth volunteers. Volunteers ages 10 and up will be asked to play the role of injured victims in simulation of an overwhelming surge of injured patients. Adult volunteers will be asked to play a role as an accompanying adult victim such as parent and guardian or as a chaperone during the simulation. Volunteers should be Monroe Carell or VUMC faculty/staff or related to a faculty or staff member.
The exercise date is Wednesday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will be held at Monroe Carell. Volunteers may be asked to arrive by 8:30 a.m. to be prepared for the exercise. Volunteers may leave the exercise before 1 p.m. We plan to provide lunch as the exercise concludes.
Enroll as a volunteer here. If selected to volunteer, you will be contacted by email.
