Leaders from Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt honored Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Label Group founder, chairman and CEO, and Sandi Borchetta, Big Machine Label Group Executive Vice President of Creative, for their recent $5 million pledged gift to support the hospital’s neonatal intensive care program.

The ceremony included the unveiling of signage plans for the hospital’s new 14th floor, which will be named the Scott & Sandi Borchetta Floor. The Borchettas joined hospital leaders, patients and families, and Big Machine Label Group staff for the celebration.

“Sandi and I continue to be moved by the miracles worked by the team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt,” said Scott Borchetta. “No one ever expects to need neonatal care, but when that very real moment comes, I believe there is no better hospital anywhere to handle these critical early moments of a child’s life. We are honored to extend our ongoing support to Vanderbilt’s neonatal intensive care program.”

Longtime supporters of Monroe Carell, the Borchettas’ latest philanthropy builds on their ongoing commitment to the hospital’s NICU services. In March 2020, the hospital opened the Big Machine Neighborhood, a 23-bed NICU wing on the 11th floor of the hospital, made possible by the Borchettas and Big Machine Label Group.

“It is an honor to celebrate Sandi and Scott’s ongoing commitment to children and families as we recognize their generous gift to our neonatal intensive care program. Already, their philanthropy is having a significant impact. This new floor, named in their honor, will enable us to provide more highly specialized care for our most vulnerable patients,” said Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, President and CEO of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Dean of the School of Medicine.

The Borchettas also serve as members of the Monroe Carell Advisory Board.

Their recent commitment supports crucial programming, neonatal equipment, space and staffing.
