Vanderbilt University will be hosting the FCS championship game Monday, Jan. 5, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Game day events are scheduled earlier in the day.
With the game being held in First Bank Stadium, adjustments in parking and traffic flow are being made to accommodate the influx of additional vehicles to campus, while hopefully limiting the impact on medical center personnel. These are very similar to modifications that have been successfully made during previous midweek football games.
Among the changes:
Road Closures/Traffic
- Natchez Trace between Children’s Way and Kensington Place will close to vehicle traffic from 11:30 a.m. through the end of the game.
- Kensington Place between the 2525 West End parking garage and Natchez Trace will close to vehicle traffic beginning at 4 p.m. through the end of the game.
- Heavy traffic is expected as campus and medical center traffic exit the campus while game traffic is arriving on campus.
- Normal traffic operations may be altered at times to keep traffic moving as efficiently as possible. All drivers should follow the directions of the uniformed traffic officers who will be present at various locations around campus.
Parking
- To avoid overcrowding, parking permit holders that typically remain parked in the N Lot after 4 p.m. will be required to park in a different on-campus parking location on Jan. 5, 2026.
- These parkers will receive more specific communication about the alternate location at the Round Wing and Children’s Way shuttle stops the week of Dec. 29.
- N Lot parkers who are typically off the lot by 4 p.m. will still be able to park on the N Lot on Jan. 5, 2026.
- Those who park in the 25th Avenue Garage should park there as usual but should be aware that the garage and the streets around it will be more congested than usual.
· Shuttles will not service the N Lot after 4 p.m. Monday Jan. 5, 2026.
· Patient/visitor parking areas in the East, Central and South Garages are not alternate options for staff parking Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.
