Do you have an infant or toddler with an older sibling who is diagnosed with autism? If so, you may qualify for the Sibwatch research study. This study is occurring at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and The University of Texas at Austin. Sibwatch includes developmental monitoring with the opportunity for intervention! Here are the highlights:
- Sibwatch is enrolling baby siblings of children on the autism spectrum between six months and 2 years of age
- Researchers offer developmental monitoring of the younger sibling and the opportunity for a telehealth intervention
- Families who enroll will come to Vanderbilt six to eight times over the course of the study, which lasts a year
- Families will receive 1) $200 for participating, 2) a comprehensive autism diagnostic at the end of the study, and 3) a set of toys.
