In an effort to offer more convenience to its Medical Center employees, Vanderbilt Human Resources will establish an HR Express in the location formerly held by the Vanderbilt Valet program in Medical Center North.
Vanderbilt’s contract with Errand Solutions expires on July 31, providing the opportunity for significant savings during a time of budgetary restraint, but also the opportunity to extend discounts and other services already in place in other areas of the University.
Starting July 31, employees with general HR questions on such topics as employment or benefits can turn to this new location for in-person assistance.
In addition, discounts already established with area businesses will be available.
When the new HR Express opens, employees will be able to purchase their RTA/Music City Star tickets, movie tickets, gift cards and stamps and may visit an online directory of discounted service providers.
While the “Commodore Concierge” will not mirror the former valet services, many existing services will be incorporated and added over time. Similar concierge services will be offered two days each week at the former Vanderbilt Valet locations within the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt Health at One Hundred Oaks starting on Aug. 1. Specific days and times will be announced soon.
From restaurants to transportation, an extensive list of discounts is already available at http://hr.vanderbilt.edu/benefits/perqs.php.
“I’m pleased that human resources can offer services that have been valued for a number of years through existing discounts and service while serving employees at an HR Express office convenient to many employees,” said Traci Nordberg, Chief Human Resources Officer. “After studying the data on what has been used by employees, we are confident that the most desirable services can be provided.”
You can reach the Employee Service Center at 343-7000 or human.resources@vanderbilt.edu, or in person at HR Express at Medical Center North starting July 31.
