Rene Love, DNP, director of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Lifespan) Program, has been selected as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Love was selected for her contributions to meaningful improvements in health care. She has dedicated her clinical practice and scholarship to the area of trauma. Specifically, she integrates practice and scholarship working with women in recovery from prostitution and addiction. She has also received funding from the Tennessee State Department of Education to work closely with school systems on post-crisis recovery.
The Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) was established by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2000 to recognize nurse practitioner leaders who have made outstanding contributions to health care through nurse practitioner clinical practice, research, education or policy.
