Grant money is available to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) community in order to support programs that increase ambulatory visits conducted via telemedicine.
The Telehealth grant program has up to $30,000 for distribution, which will be divided among projects chosen by the VUMC Telehealth Advisory Committee, who will review and score applications for funding. The amount awarded to winning applications through this new grant initiative may vary.
“This initiative is about spurring innovation and stimulating projects focused on increasing ambulatory visits conducted via telemedicine to improve patient access to VUMC providers,” said David Charles, M.D., professor and vice chair of Neurology and medical director of Vanderbilt Telehealth. “We want to support efforts to innovate and utilize technology to extend the reach of our providers in ways that not only improve patient access but also keep patients closer to their homes.”
The deadline for applications is Aug. 1.
