Heart Walk 2020

The money is still rolling in, but the Greater Nashville Heart Walk has already raised $1.3 million in its fight against heart disease and stroke as well as to provide funding for public and professional education and community service programs.

The money is still rolling in, but the Greater Nashville Heart Walk has already raised $1.3 million in its fight against heart disease and stroke as well as to provide funding for public and professional education and community service programs.

The annual walk, which usually draws thousands of walkers to Vanderbilt’s campus, was held virtually on Sept. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Walkers were encouraged to walk wherever they like and interact through social media. Teams from VUMC joined walkers from companies all over Nashville.

VUMC teams included, pictured above, Jameson Norton, MBA, CEO of Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics; and Tracy Glascoe, LCSW, outreach coordinator at Vanderbilt Behavioral Health. Donations are still being accepted at NashvilleHeartWalk.org.
