Starting in March 2022, the eStar Training and Delivery team will offer a new course designed for ambulatory primary care providers who use the Health Maintenance activity in eStar. Called eStar Thrive: Ambulatory Providers – Focus: Health Maintenance, the two-hour virtual course will help providers better use this activity to manage health promotion and disease prevention rather than the management of symptoms and illnesses.
Upcoming sessions include:
- March 15: noon to 2 p.m.
- March 22: noon to 2 p.m.
- March 24: 3 to 5 p.m.
- March 29: noon to 2 p.m.
- March 31: 3 to 5 p.m.
Classes will continue through April. Please check here for the full schedule. Additional classes may be added based on demand.
About Health Maintenance: Health Maintenance is the primary tool in eStar to monitor and address patient care gaps, such as a routine colonoscopy or an immunization. Health Maintenance can set up alerts to help track immunizations and routine screening tests or manage patients with chronic diseases. When a patient becomes due for care, the system displays an alert to the clinician and can also generate In Basket messages to help coordinate care. Health Maintenance was built with ambulatory (outpatient) primary care providers in mind, but other users may find this information useful depending on their role.
