NPR reporter Greg Allen interviewed Kathryn Edwards, MD, scientific director of the Vanderbilt Vaccine Research Program, for a story about Florida’s decision not to order vaccine for children under 5 due to efficacy.
Buddy Creech, MD, director of the Vanderbilt Vaccine Research Program, was quoted by Bloomberg and ABC News in stories about COVID vaccines.
Stokes Peebles, MD, Professor of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, was interviewed by Sports Illustrated website writer, John Glennon, to speak about asthma, its symptoms and how athletes with asthma can manage their condition. The story is about Titans player Treylon Burks, who has asthma.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation interviewed Daniel Gustavson, PhD, research assistant professor, for a story about the Nature Human Behaviour study that is the first large-scale genome-wide association study of a musical trait, laying novel groundwork toward understanding the biology underlying how musicality relates to other health traits. Its headline is “Can’t dance? Here’s why you can blame your parents for that.” ABC Radio Sydney senior producer Steve Turner and New Zealand’s AM on Three producer Sinelle Fernandez interviewed Reyna Gordon, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and co-director of the Vanderbilt Music Cognition Lab, for stories about the same study.
