A research symposium honoring R. Daniel Beauchamp, MD, who died last year, will be held Sept. 8 in 214 Light Hall. The event will feature five presentations from distinguished surgeon scientists:
- Mark Evers, MD, Director, Markey Cancer Center, University of Kentucky
- Steven Leach, MD, Director, Dartmouth Cancer Center
- Robert Coffey, MD, Co-Director, Epithelial Biology Center, VUMC
- Josh Smith, MD, PhD, Surgical Oncologist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
- David Hanna, MD, Chief Resident in General Surgery, VUMC and Paula Marincola Smith, MD, PhD, Fellow in Surgical Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Center
