Work began today, July 15, to repair and restripe Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s shuttle parking lots. The anticipated completion date is Monday, Aug. 15.
The work will be completed in three phases, with a portion of the lot being blocked during each stage.
Parking — A number of shuttle lot parkers will be asked to park in an alternate location until the work is completed.
Flyers will be placed on vehicles with instructions about where to park and what entrance to use.
It is anticipated that all parkers will return to the shuttle lot on Monday, Aug. 15.
Shuttles — This project will affect the Green, Blue and Purple Routes. Some of the normal stops will not be accessible during each phase of the project.
The wait times for the shuttles may increase slightly until the project is completed.
Traffic Enforcement Officers will be on hand to assist with parking and to direct people to the “active” shuttle stops through the duration of the project.
This project may result in some temporary inconveniences, but with everyone’s cooperation, understanding and patience, the much-needed repairs can be completed more quickly.
