Boord to lead Children’s Hospital development efforts
Beth Boord has been named assistant vice chancellor of Children's Health for Medical Center Development.
In this newly created role, Boord will manage all aspects of fundraising to support the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Department of Pediatrics.

Boord, who has been at Vanderbilt University since 2006, previously served as associate dean of Development and Alumni Relations at Vanderbilt's Divinity School.

Boord will report to the executive associate vice chancellor for Vanderbilt University Medical Center Development. There is currently a national search under way to fill the position.
Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Boord served in numerous roles, including director of Advancement for the Harpeth Hall School, director of Development and Marketing for the Nature Conservancy of Tennessee, vice president for Development at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and vice president of Major Gifts for the United Way of Middle Tennessee.
She earned a master's degree in Social Work at the University of Tennessee.
