Raymond Harris Jr., M.D., Ann and Roscoe R. Robinson Professor of Nephrology and director of the Division of Nephrology, has been elected an American Society of Nephrology (ASN) councilor.
Harris will serve on the governing body of the ASN through 2017.
More than 11,000 physicians and scientists, all committed to preventing kidney disease and making life better for patients, work together as members of the ASN.
Through advocacy, the ASN informs policymakers about issues of importance to kidney physicians and their patients. ASN also funds research, convenes world-renowned meetings and generates educational tools that enable nephrologists to be most effective.
