Dr. Harry R. Jacobson, vice chancellor for health affairs and professor of Medicine, was recently listed in Modern Physician as one of 25 top physician executives in the United States.
The magazine touts the group as “visionary doctors who rattle the status quo by flexing their experience and reputations in a variety of disciplines.”
Jacobson was recognized as a “leader in commercializing academic projects.”
“Harry Jacobson has quietly developed a remarkable reputation in national circles,” said Chancellor Gordon Gee. “His focus on harnessing the intellectual captial generated in research laboratories and turning it into a poweful new stream of revenue for universities could change the essentials of university finance.”
