Mark your calendars for Monday, Sept. 30, when one of the most popular components of Country in the Rockies — the celebrity bartending event — comes to Music City.
Like the annual ski-and-music event in Colorado, Nashville’s Second Celebrity Happy Hour will raise funds for the Frances Williams Preston Laboratories of the T.J. Martell Foundation at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
Celebrity hosts Gary Chapman, Gary Morris and Chely Wright will be joined by other musicians and songwriters from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at three Hillsboro Village locations: Sunset Grill, The Trace and Easy’s.
A $10 cover charge will allow unlimited admission and re-admission to any or all of the three restaurants.
Funds are raised as patrons donate tips in exchange for great service, hearing a favorite song or getting a hug or kiss from a favorite artist.
Celebrity Happy Hour has been a fixture at Country in the Rockies since its inception nine years ago, along with celebrity ski races, snowmobiling and other sports, concerts and fireside guitar pulls.
The 2003 Country in the Rockies will be Jan. 28-Feb.2 in Crested Butte, Colo., and reservations are being accepted now.
Blackhawk, Brooks & Dunn, Andy Griggs, Lonestar and Delbert McClinton are among the entertainers already confirmed.
