Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention observes National Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 9-15

VUMC’s office of Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention is observing National Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 9-15.

The theme for this year’s observance is “Making Safety Personal.” One of the tactics to accomplish this and is to share safety messages at the beginning of each meeting. Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention will be sharing safety messages via Nurse Alerts all throughout the week as examples for staff to share with their units.

Patient Safety Awareness Week Booths will be open at the following locations and times

VTHH – Monday, March 10, from 7-9 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the cafeteria.

VWCH – Monday, March 10, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Cedars Café.

VUH, Monroe Carell, Adult Ambulatory, VPH – Tuesday, March 11, from 1 – 3 p.m. outside between Light Hall and Panera. (If raining, will be inside Light Hall)

VBCH – Friday, March 14, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the hospital lobby.

There will also be roving carts in selected areas providing swag and candy.
