The VUMC Music Cognition Lab will have an open house Thursday, Aug. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. in celebration of the lab’s 10th anniversary.
Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the lab’s scientists, engage in research demonstrations, hear live music and enjoy happy hour food and drinks. The lab is located on Music Row at 1408 17th Ave. South. This year’s featured performers and speakers include songwriter Tony Arata, electric violinist Tracy Silverman, singer Sara Beck and music journalist Jewly Hight, with additional artists to be announced. This free, annual community event is designed to invite the community into the lab’s research and to showcase the work of the lab around music and health.
RSVP (optional but appreciated) for the event here and email us at musichealth@vumc.org with any questions.
