The money is still rolling in, but the Greater Nashville Heart Walk has already raised $1.4 million in its fight against heart disease and stroke as well as to provide funding for public and professional education and community service programs.
The annual walk, organized by the American Heart Association and sponsored in part by VUMC, drew thousands to GEODIS Park on Sept. 20. The event, which featured more than 50 teams from VUMC, raises awareness and funds for research, advocacy and CPR training to combat heart disease and stroke.
