Vanderbilt Health Pets of the Day: Dolly Belle and Winston, and Remey and Bentley

Today’s first Dogs of the Day are Dolly Belle and Winston, submitted by Maria Cantrell of Dermatology. “These are my Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Dolly Belle (left) and Winston (right). They are about 4 months apart. We joke that Dolly Belle was the ‘planned’ one and Winston is our bonus. We got Dolly Belle from a breeder in Columbia around Valentine’s Day 2023. Then the week of Christmas, one of our Corgi friends told us her coworker wanted to rehome his Corgi puppy. We met up two days before Christmas and ever since then, they have been best friends.”

Today’s second Dogs of the Day are Remey and Bentley, submitted by Madison Blosser of Adolescent Medicine. “Remey is a 1-year-old rambunctious golden retriever with a heart of gold.
Bentley is a 3-year-old snuggly Labrador retriever. Remey and Bentley are the bestest of friends and always causing a ruckus. They bring so much joy to my heart! This is a photo of them enjoying a hot summer day with the splash pad and sprinkler.”

Pets of the Day — what you need to know

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pets of the Day are included in regular editions of the MyVUMC News newsletter, which is posted twice a week by VUMC News and Communications.

The pets are selected from the hundreds of entries sent to the VUMC Voice Pet Photo Contest.

For those who submitted a photo to that contest, watch MyVUMC News for Pets of the Day, and in addition, regular collections of pet photos are posted to the VUMC Voice site. You can see them all here: https://news.vumc.org/section/voice/pets-vumc/.

If you have a pet you would like to nominate for Pet of the Day, the next Pet Photo Contest submission period is coming up later this year, and will be announced in MyVUMC News.

Dolly Belle, Winston, Remey and Bentley were featured in the Jan. 13, 2026, edition of MyVUMC News.
