After a national search, Lori Martin, MBA, BSN, R.T.(R), has been named Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer of Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital (VBCH).
Martin has served in this inaugural interim position for the past four months and has already made a meaningful impact by partnering with the medical staff, community leaders, and VBCH employees.
In this dual capacity, Martin will be responsible for overseeing operations, driving growth, and supporting care teams, reflecting both the importance of the function and the strong leadership she brings to VBCH.
Martin has more than 20 years of health care experience and joined Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) in 2021.
Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Radiology, Surgery, and Procedural Services, leading 11 departments with more than 200 FTEs. While at VWCH, she advanced key service lines, enhanced quality and safety outcomes, and strengthened team performance.
