Initiative allows remote hearing tests for newborns

A telemedicine initiative in Vanderbilt’s Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences is working to make follow-up hearing tests for newborns more accessible in rural areas of Tennessee, while teaching young pediatric audiology and pediatric speech language pathology students to treat patients remotely.

Neurological Physical Therapy Residency gains accreditation

Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson’s Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute (PBPRI) and Belmont University’s School of Physical Therapy are receiving accreditation from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for their collaborative Neurological Physical Therapy Clinical Residency instituted last year.
