This year, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing welcomed 463 new students pursuing Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice or Ph.D. degrees.

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center epilepsy team has implanted four patients with a device that heralds a new frontier for controlling epileptic seizures.

Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos told the opening Faculty Assembly on Aug. 21 that Vanderbilt begins the academic year in an exceptionally strong position—academically, financially and culturally.
