Vanderbilt Health staff traveled from around the region for an Employee Welcome Event on Wednesday, Feb. 4, to greet new colleagues at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital, which officially joined the enterprise Feb. 2.

The 270-bed Clarksville facility is the newest member of Vanderbilt Health’s network of Regional Hospitals in Tennessee.

This acquisition marks Vanderbilt Health’s fourth regional hospital expansion, further strengthening its presence across Middle Tennessee beyond its already extensive inpatient and ambulatory services in Nashville.

Vanderbilt Health System’s emergency departments cared for more than 221,000 patients in the fiscal year that ended June 30.

Diane Attardi, MD, has a long history of caring for NICU babies as a neonatologist and NICU medical director throughout the Northeast.

The annual awards honor heroic actions by emergency medical services providers who gave exemplary care to both adult and pediatric patients.

The award is presented to an individual who provides exemplary service and support to emergency medical services in Tennessee.
