The winter storm that swept through Middle Tennessee this week brought a little bit of everything to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the rest of the region — rain, sleet, ice, snow, high winds and bitter cold temperatures.

With temperatures in the next few days predicted to be the coldest of the winter so far, people using space heaters to get some extra warmth into their homes need to be aware of a potential silent killer—carbon monoxide.
