One year after Go Live, focus remains on advancing eStar

This month marks the one-year anniversary of VUMC’s transition to eStar, and, as expected, there have been challenges and successes along the way.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is out in front on the key trends

Assembly highlights eStar launch, IT ecosystem

With the liftoff of eStar accomplished, it’s time to set the course for optimizing the new information technology ecosystem for Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), but not without first thanking all those who delivered seamless patient care during the transition, said Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, President and CEO of VUMC and Dean of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Transition to eStar system off to strong start

Last week Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) switched to a new computer system for electronic health records, ordering of tests and drugs, supporting inpatient and outpatient care delivery, billing and other hospital and clinic operations.
