Medical student lands fellowship to study ethics, discipline

Vanderbilt University School of Medicine student Didi Odinkemelu is one of 14 medical students chosen for the 2019 Medical Program of the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) to participate in a two-week program in Germany and Poland this summer, which uses the conduct of physicians in Nazi-occupied Europe as a way to reflect on medical ethics today.

Project seeks to ease confusion about advance directives

Epic-savvy medical students help train others on new system

Aspiring medical students Lauren Holroyd and Julian Genkins took a break from academics after earning their undergraduate degrees and went to work for the health care software company Epic, based in Verona, Wisconsin. Although they did not know each other at the time, they would both end up at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) where they would put their Epic expertise to work.
