Children’s Miracle Network Telethon raises $1.44 million

The Children's Miracle Network Telethon benefiting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt raised $1.44 million this year.

The event, which took place June 6, was broadcast live from the Children’s Hospital Performance Stage and was shown on NewsChannel 5. It featured on-air personalities as hosts, and had inspiring stories and interviews with patients, families, faculty and staff.

The funds raised will support research, specialized equipment, patient programs and other important efforts.

Children's Hospital is one of the 22 founding hospitals of CMN, which was formed in 1982 and is the only national fundraising effort that pledges 100 percent of all locally raised money goes to local member hospitals.
