Clinics ready for debut at One Hundred Oaks

On Nov. 9, the Pediatric Allergy Clinic and the Adolescent Medicine Clinic will begin seeing patients in their new offices at Vanderbilt Health at One Hundred Oaks (OHO).

The Pediatric Allergy Clinic was previously located in the Doctors’ Office Tower at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The practices at Vanderbilt Asthma, Sinus, Allergy Program on West End will not move. Four physicians will staff the allergy practice at OHO. A multi-disciplinary group of allergy and pulmonary providers will staff a multi-disciplinary Asthma Clinic.

“We're looking forward to practicing in the new space, which we believe will allow us to expand our services and will give us the option of two practitioners holding clinic simultaneously," said Donna Hummell, M.D., medical director of the Pediatric Allergy Clinic.

The clinic will provide enhanced allergy testing and injections. The appointment number is 343-7617.

The Adolescent Medicine Clinic will house four physicians, two psychologists, a nutritionist and a social worker previously located in the Doctors' Office Tower and at the clinic on Edward Curd Lane.

A special multidisciplinary team will staff the clinic's eating disorders program.

“The clinic is so much larger that we will be able to provide all our services in one location,” said Lynn Walker, Ph.D., director of the Adolescent Medicine Clinic. “The clinic will be a “one-stop shop” for adolescent medicine, psychology, social work, nutrition, psychiatry and sports medicine.”

A new feature of the practice is an adolescent resource room offering educational, informative, and lifestyle information to teens and their families. The appointment number is 936-8200.
