On Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Nashville’s PBS affiliate, Nashville Public Television (NPT), will debut “Critical Condition,” a three-hour documentary that takes an in-depth look at the problems facing our nation’s health care system. A portion of the program about caring for the nation’s uninsured addresses the challenges facing Tenn Care, Tennessee’s answer to Medicaid, and features interviews with VUMC faculty and staff and footage shot in the Trauma Unit.

The program, produced by former New York Times journalist Headrick Smith, will air on PBS affiliates across the country. For more information about the program’s content or for a preview go to www.pbs.org/criticalcondition/.
