The national award, which is the highest honor presented to adult leaders, is given annually by local chapters to those who perform community service through “hard work, self-sacrifice and dedication.”

Recipients of the award have dedicated many years of service to the organization and significantly impacted the lives of youth.
Gregory is an Eagle Scout and an executive board member with the Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scouts of America.
He has also served as the Middle Tennessee Council's Health & Safety chair and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America Extravaganza Committee.

Stein — who is an active community leader, president of Bank of America for Tennessee and Bank of America's national market executive for health care — has served as chair of the Middle Tennessee Council's Troop Committee, Friends of Scouting and the Nashville Patron Luncheon.
