Allison Rogers, 11, is a bone cancer survivor. Emily Davis, 12, suffered a bout of pneumonia. William Antony, 11, has asthma and allergies.

They are among the 27 children who created this year’s art for the annual Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Holiday Project, now under way.

Each year, Friends of Children’s Hospital collects holiday artwork from children whose lives have been impacted by Children’s Hospital. That includes patients, former patients and friends and siblings. This is the Holiday Project’s 28th year.

The artwork is used on holiday cards and gift items sold to raise money to support patients and families at Children's Hospital. All proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital. Items for sale include holiday cards, gift tags, wrapping paper, Christie Cookies and Bongo Java coffee.

They are decorated with brightly colored snowmen, a mitten full of love, an artistic Santa face and more. Prices range from $5-$35.

“This really is an impactful way to give during the holiday season,” said Suann Davis, fundraising chair for Friends of Children’s Hospital. “Purchasers are able to give to their loved ones while supporting Children’s Hospital. And we all recognize a healthy child is the very best gift of all.”
