It’s easy. It’s fun. And it raises money for a great cause.

Please join the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center team for Light the Night, a two-mile evening walk to raise money for research into leukemia and other blood cancers.

The event benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be Thursday, Sept. 20, at Granny White Park in Brentwood. Individuals and teams carry illuminated balloons in celebration and commemoration of lives touched by cancer.

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. The walk kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and there will be pre- and post-walk entertainment and activities.

Participants who raise at least $25 will receive an illuminated balloon. Walkers can also earn other fundraising rewards, including T-shirts and sweatshirts.

If you cannot participate, please consider supporting the team’s efforts with a donation.
