Jeanne Yeatman, MBA, R.N., EMT, director of LifeFlight, said the additions mark a new milestone for the program, which began in 1984.

“This is the beginning of a new era for our team,” said Yeatman. “We're excited to welcome these new leaders to further emphasize our commitment to our patients and customers.”

Jeremy Brywczynski, M.D., assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and assistant medical director of the Nashville Fire Department, has been named medical director for LifeFlight, while his predecessor, John Morris, M.D., chief of the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, has assumed a new role of medical director emeritus and will turn his attention to select projects and strategic planning.

In a newly created role, Jared McKinney, M.D., assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and assistant EMS medical director for the Nashville Fire Department, has been named medical director for the rapidly growing Event Medicine division of LifeFlight. This division provides emergency medical care and treatment at large special events as well as all events at the Bridgestone Arena and Vanderbilt Athletics.

Two new positions will focus on hospital and community relations, program and business development.

Liz Reeves, R.N., EMT, has been named medical affairs manager. Reeves will be working with local physicians, nurses and other health care decision makers on critical care referrals and education activities. She has more than 25 years of experience in health care in emergency nursing and EMS.

Reeves joins LifeFlight after seven years in the Vanderbilt University Hospital Emergency Department as both a staff and charge nurse.

Jerry Jones, M.P.A., EMT, has been named public affairs manager. Jones will be working with municipalities, county EMS providers and other health care decision makers on critical care referrals and public relation activities for the program.

Jones has an extensive background in EMS, currently working as a supervisor for LifeFlight Event Medicine, as well as a former firefighter and county EMS director.

Jones joins LifeFlight after more than 10 years in public and media relations with the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Office of News & Communications.
