Diane Moat, RN, has been appointed Evening Administrative Coordinator, effective Oct. 1. Moat was Interim Administrative Coordinator after Carol Wyckoff left the position.

Moat began her career at Vanderbilt seven years ago as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department. She then worked in case management in the Emergency Department and in Cardiac Thoracic Surgery.

As Evening Administrative Coordinator, Moat is responsible for the functions of Vanderbilt University Hospital from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. This includes staffing issues, legal concerns, and bed flow, etc.

“This is the best position I’ve ever had in my life,” she said. “I love it.”

“Diane brings diverse clinical and leadership experience to this position,” said Marilyn Dubree, RN, MSN, director of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer.
