On Tuesday, March 13, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt's Department of Social Work are hosting a workshop titled, “Motivating Individuals to Change: Techniques and Ethical Considerations.”
The daylong workshop, which provides six CEU hours to both nurses and social workers, offers two sessions. The morning session focuses on developing a style of communication that is designed to resolve ambivalence and build motivation for behavioral change. The afternoon session will promote consideration and discussion of ethical issues in motivational interventions.
