Palliative care group honors Foster

Terrah Foster, Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, recently received the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association's 2011 New Investigator Award at the group's annual assembly in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The New Investigator Award recognizes a hospice or palliative care nurse at the beginning of his or her research career who has performed superior research focused on clinical care, professional development or the advancement of hospital and palliative nursing.

Foster's research interests include pediatric palliative care, particularly legacy-making and continuing bonds in children living with life-threatening conditions and their families
